2001 European Museum of the Year Award, Special commendation
In 2001, Monsummano Terme’s Museum of the City and the Territory received honorable mention in the prestigious EMYA European Museum of the Year Award.
Established in 1997, this award is given annually to the European museum that has contributed most directly to attracting the public and satisfying its visitors by through its unique atmosphere, imaginative interpretation and presentation, and creative approach to education and social responsibility.
